Running River School seeks to take the children beyond the reaches of just our school. Our parent service committee, along with the staff, are on the outlook for meaningful, real life service projects for children.
In 2015 representatives from Pine Ridge Reservation visited us and we are talking about becoming a sister school to their school.
We do service projects every year for the Boulder County Parks and Open Space.
We also have a strong connection to One School at a Time, which was started by two alumni moms. They support and help fund girls education in Uganda.
This fall our older class spent 2 nights at Mission:Wolf in Westcliffe, CO to work on their property.
