Performing The Iliad at a Parent Night

Performing The Iliad at a Parent Night

For the school year 2016-17, our 2nd-4th grade class had the overarching question, "What is Expansion?"  Throughout the year they studied this both in themselves (how do I feel when I am expanded? contracted? What happens when I expand too much?) in the classroom, and in history.  They focused on ancient civilizations, beginning with Greece and Rome and ending with China and Japan.

This was a truly project based year!  Here are just some of the hands on projects:

A Greek Feast with meat cooked over a spit outside, grapes, bread they made and other delicacies!
