I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve. ~Albert Schweitzer

Running River strives to take children well beyond the reaches of our school. Our parent service committee and staff are always on the lookout for meaningful, real-life service projects for children. We are involved with the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation through an organization called The Tipi Makers. We work on service projects every year for the Boulder County Parks and Open Space. In the fall of 2015 our older class spent two days and two nights at Mission:Wolf in Westcliffe, Colorado, working on their property. We have a strong connection to One School at a Time, an organization started by two alumni moms that supports education for girls in Uganda.

September 2017: Working with the Lafayette Open Space to rebuild habitat by planting trees, bushes and removing non-native plants.
